Be proud to be a part of a well trained and highly respected all-volunteer fire department! We are the oldest fire department in Illinois with a long standing tradition of excellence.
BE PART OF THE EXCITEMENT
Galena Fire Department responds to over 100 calls per year that range from structure fires to vehicle accidents to water rescues. We train frequently with 3-4 drills per month and various additional training opportunities that are available to our members. You will have a great sense of accoplishment as you participate in these events.

We care about our community. in times of need, our families, friends, neghbors and visitors depend on us to be there. The experiences you will have as a firefighter will bring you closer to your community than ever before. The personal reward of helping others through the fire service is unmatched!
